b-04 - Trauma-Informed Ministry
This course prepares students to recognize and respond to emotional and psychological trauma within ministry settings. It explores the effects of loss, abuse, neglect, and crisis on individuals and communities. Emphasis is placed on sensitivity, compassion, and responsible care.
Students learn how trauma affects behavior, relationships, and spiritual development. The course provides tools for supporting healing without causing further emotional harm. Topics include boundaries, referral practices, crisis response, and ethical ministry conduct.
By completing this course, students are prepared to minister safely and effectively to wounded individuals. They develop skills for creating supportive environments that promote restoration and long-term emotional wellness.
